Stephanie stumbled into the computer industry in the late nineties and never left. She’s had every title under the sun in the realm of SRE and has worked at a wide variety of companies from big names like Cisco and eBay to tiny startups to big banks. During a lot of that time, she’s been the only woman on the team she’s worked on and is passionate about how much different voices and viewpoints benefit the industry and society as a whole.

She’s currently the Reliability Area Lead for Elastic Cloud, where she specializes in pushing to improve all aspects of reliability in the cloud, from incident management to disaster recovery.

When she’s not herding cats at work, she’s literally herding cats at home, showing and breeding Siamese cats along with her husband of nearly twenty years
